Abstract:

Provided is an apparatus for removing a bird's nest in a blast furnace, which inserts a capsule containing a melting agent into the bird's nest accumulated in the core of the blast furnace so as to effectively remove the bird's nest and improve the core state, the apparatus comprising: a pulverized coal lance which is connected to a race way inside the blast furnace so as to inject pulverized coal therein; the capsule which is supplied to the bird's nest around the race way through the pulverized coal lance and contains the melting agent therein so as to melt and remove the bird's nest; and a high-pressure launcher which is installed to be connected to an end of the pulverized coal lance while accommodating the capsule and is configured to launch the capsule to the bird's nest by using a high-pressure nitrogen gas.
