Title:
APPARATUS FOR REMOVING DUST AND OFFENSIVE ODOR GENERATED FROM ASCON
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/176397
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention is for removing dust and offensive odor generated in the process of manufacturing ascon (asphalt-concrete), and more specifically, relates to an apparatus for removing dust and offensive odor generated from the ascon wherein the air pollutants or other harmful dust particles discharged from an ascon manufacturing part is removed or minimized using a single integrated apparatus so as to remove or minimize the offensive odor and the dust, thereby preventing environmental pollution. The specific means of the present invention comprises: "a centrifugal dust collection part which forcedly sucks offensive odor induction substances, harmful gas, and dust generated from the ascon, manufactured in an ascon manufacturing part, via a pipe so as to discharge dust of which particles are relatively large via a hopper provided at the lower end to the outside by means of a rotary valve while conveying relatively fine dust and air to a filtering-collection part via a pipe provided at the upper side; the filtering-collection part for filtering the offensive odor induction substances, the harmful gas and the fine dust which have passed through the centrifugal dust collection part by means of a filtering filter while discharging the remaining or the like to the outside by a screw provided at the lower end of the hopper; a first cooling part for condensing the harmful gas and the offensive odor induction substances of 150℃, introduced from the filtering-collection part, by cooling the same to 40~50℃ using a cooling tower and removing and separating the moisture and the offensive odor induction substances; a second cooling part for condensing the harmful gas and the offensive odor induction substances of 40~50℃, having passed through the first cooling part, by re-cooling the same to 20℃ or lower by a condenser and removing and separating the moisture and the offensive odor induction substances so as to prevent a white plume phenomenon; an adsorption part for removing volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by adsorbing and filtering the offensive odor induction substances and the harmful gas of 20℃ having passed through the second cooling part; and a discharge part having spray pipes provided in stages so as to remove water-soluble offensive odor induction substances in the air from which the volatile organic compounds (VOCs) have been removed via the adsorption part by spraying water via a plurality of spray nozzles, and a discharge pipe provided at the upper side so as to discharge air, wherein a turbo fan is provided between the filtering-collection part and the first cooling part, and an oil separator and a water collection tank are additionally provided between the first cooling part and the second cooling part such that the oil separator separates harmful oil and water from each other by discharging the cooled and condensed moisture and the offensive odor induction substances by cooling via pipes and the water collection tank collects only water from the oil separator". The present invention structured as above may prevent environmental pollution by removing or minimizing the offensive odor and the dust by a single integrated apparatus, wherein the air pollutants or any other harmful dust generated in the ascon manufacturing part is removed or minimized regardless of the ducted emission and the fugitive emission. Particularly, according to the offensive odor prevention plan, a step for mixing AP oil and heated aggregates and a step for loading the ascon onto a truck, which are considered to be the main steps for generating the offensive odor, are removed when manufacturing the ascon by using new aggregates, while the AP oil vapor is condensed so as to be removed by the first cooling part and untreated materials are removed by the second cooling part in consideration of the physical and chemical properties of the AP oil during re-generation of the waste ascon. Therefore, the apparatus of the present invention is mounted at the rear end of an existing asphalt plant collection facility such that the moisture which is evaporated in a step for drying the AP oil vapor and the aggregates is first condensed and collected, and the volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and the moisture are secondarily condensed and collected by the condenser, the untreated offensive odor induction substances are collected in the adsorption part and the discharge part. Thus, effects of decreasing the offensive odor and preventing the white plume phenomenon are exhibited.
