Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus and system for image splicing, and a related method. The apparatus for image splicing comprises a distortion correction module which is configured to: obtain a first look-up table (LUT), and use the first LUT to perform distortion correction on a plurality of source images to obtain a plurality of corrected images. The apparatus for image splicing further comprises a balancing module which is configured to obtain a second LUT and use the second LUT to adjust the brightness of the plurality of corrected images to obtain a plurality of balanced images; and an image fusion module which is configured to obtain a third LUT and use the third LUT to merge the plurality of balanced images into a composite image. Such an image splicing scheme can be implemented by a specific processing device, such that the processing performance is improved, the processing speed is increased, and requirements for system bandwidth are reduced.
