Abstract:
An application icon display method and an electronic device, which relate to the technical field of terminals, and may guide a user to the specific location in which an application icon that is currently being operated is located, such that the display effect of the application icon may enhance guidance for the user. The method comprises: displaying a first screen page (701) of a desktop, the first screen page (701) comprising application icons of N applications; receiving an opening operation by the user on a first application icon (702) on the first screen page (701), the first application icon (702) being one among the application icons of the N applications; in response to the opening operation, displaying first layer application icons (703, 704, 705, 706, 801, 802, 803 and 804) according to a first display means, the first layer application icons (703, 704, 705, 706, 801, 802, 803 and 804) being located around the first application icon (702) and adjacent to the first application icon (702), the application icons of the N applications comprising the first layer application icons (703, 704, 705, 706, 801, 802, 803 and 804), and the first display means referring to the first layer application icons (703, 704, 705, 706, 801, 802, 803 and 804) moving toward the first application icon (702); and displaying an application interface of a first application corresponding to the first application icon (702).
