Abstract:
An application of tannic acid in preparation of an anti-respiratory virus drug. Experiments involving live viruses show that tannic acid has a significant inhibitory effect and a definite curative effect on respiratory viruses such as coronaviruses comprising SARS-CoV-2 and influenza A H1N1 viruses, and has a broad application prospect in the field of preparation of anti-respiratory virus drugs. Moreover, tannic acid exists in a variety of plants and is a natural active compound that exists in nature; in addition, tannic acid is also used as a food additive, has high safety, and provides a good basis for drug development.
