Abstract:
The present invention uses: a basic aqueous chlorite solution which contains a chlorite and a compound that dissolves in the basic aqueous chlorite solution and ionizes into chloride ions, while having a solubility in water (at 20°C) of 0.4 mol/L or more as expressed in terms of the molarity of chloride ions that are assumed to be fully ionized, and which has a pH (at 25°C) of from 9.0 to 14.0; and an acidic aqueous chlorite solution which contains a chlorite, chlorine dioxide and a compound that dissolves in the acidic aqueous chlorite solution and ionizes into chloride ions, while having a solubility in water (at 20°C) of 0.4 mol/L or more as expressed in terms of the molarity of chloride ions that are assumed to be fully ionized, and which has a pH (at 25°C) of from 1.0 to 6.0.
