Abstract:

An aqueous resin dispersant having a good water resistance and prepared by subjecting a radical-polymerizable ethylenically unsaturated monomer, a dimethylpolysiloxane having in its molecule a radical-polymerizable unsaturated double bond, and a radical-polymerizable monomer represented by formula (A) or (B) to free-radical polymerization in the presence of a reactive emulsifier, an oil-soluble polymerization initiator, and water, wherein R1 represents (C2H5O)2 or (CH3O)2 and R2 represents (C2H5O)3 or (CH3O)3.
