Abstract:
Provided are an arc welded joint and an arc welding method. This arc welded joint is configured so that a flank angle θ of a welded portion, in which at least two steel plates are layered and arc welded, satisfies θ ≥ 100°. Additionally, the slag coverage area ratio SRATIO, calculated from SRATIO = 100 × SSLAG/STOE, is 50% or less when: the bead toe surface area, in a region extending by 2.0 mm from a bead toe of the welded portion in the direction toward the welding metal and a region extending by 2.0 mm from the bead toe in the direction toward the base member, is STOE; and the slag surface area is SSLAG.
