An arc welding apparatus and an arc welding method thereof. The apparatus comprises: a welding power supply electrode connection member (6), having one end connected to a welding power supply electrode, and the other end connected to a welding gun rotation mechanism connection member (4); the welding gun rotation mechanism connection member (4), which is a hollow cylindrical body, and has one end connected to a rotation mechanism; a welding rod (2), which is a hollow cylindrical body, and has one end coaxially connected to the other end of the welding gun rotation mechanism connection member (4); and an arc-shaped bent welding nozzle (1), which is a hollow cylindrical body formed by connecting a straight section (D1) and a bending section (D2), the straight section (D1) being connected to the other end of the welding rod (2). The center of the welding gun is controlled to move and rotate along the center of a welding seam, so that the arc molten pool is controlled to move on two side walls according to preset control, and welding of the whole side wall welding seam is completed
