Abstract:
Provided are: an arc welding control method with which, even if droplet transfer or an arc becomes unstable due to a disturbance, the droplet transfer or the arc can be stabilized quickly and good welding operability can be maintained by monitoring and controlling not only a short-circuit period but also an arc period; a welding power source; a welding system; and a detection method. A long short-circuit determination means determines that a short-circuit period is a long short-circuit if data corresponding to a first threshold Tsmax obtained from welding information is equal to or greater than the first threshold Tsmax. A short arc determination means determines that an arc period is a short arc if data corresponding to a second threshold Tamin obtained from the welding information is equal to or less than the second threshold Tamin. A welding condition is corrected if the long short-circuit determination and the short arc determination are both satisfied.
