Abstract:
In the present invention, carbon dioxide is used as a shield gas while a short circuit period (Ts) and an arc period (Ta) are alternately repeated to weld a base material (17). In the short circuit period (Ts), a welding current (I) is increased from a current value immediately before arc re-generation (I0) to a first current value (I1). Switching from the short circuit period (Ts) to the arc period (Ta) is performed by an arc (20) being generated when the welding current has reached the current value during arc generation, which is during the short circuit opening. In a first period (T1) of the arc period (Ta), the welding current (I) is increased along a first slope (α) until the first current value (I1), and as a result, the arc length of the arc (20) to set to a first length (L1).
