Abstract:
In order to obtain a configuration of an arm-worn display device whereby information displayed on a display is easily visible whether the arm-worn display device is worn on the left or right arm, this arm-worn display device 1 is provided with: a band part 11 that can be worn on an arm; a display unit 12 that displays character information so as to be aligned in the direction of extension of the band part 11, with the width direction of the band part constituting an up/down direction; a wearing detection unit 13 that detects if the band part 11 is being worn on an arm; a direction detection unit 14 that, when the wearing detection unit 13 detects that the band part 11 is being worn, detects the up direction and/or down direction of the display unit 12; and a display control unit 15 that sets the display direction of the display unit 12 on the basis of the detection result of the direction detection unit 13.
