ARRANGEMENT OF AN UNDERWEAR ADAPTED FOR MALE USERS.

The present invention relates to an arrangement of an underwear intended for male users to be worn under a men's pants, some kind of simple shorts, a gym shorts, or similar pants, comprising a lower part designed like a pouch for receiving the scrotum, which pouch extends into an upper part with an opening for the penis, and which together with the lower part is designed to form a unit, the upper part of which being attached to an elastic waistband.

In recent years men's pants have been designed tight-fitting to the body, and, in that way, such that the male genitals are pressed against the body. This is considered unhealthy as well as uncomfortably, and is experienced as warm and sweaty at strenuous work.

Many publications have shown that it is possible to avoid the above inconveniences by designing the men's pants such, that the penis and scrotum do not get into contact with each other or with the body. The following publications may be mentioned by way of examples: US 2005/0235399, WO 01/50894, WO 01/11997, WO 00/45655, CN 1403039, US 6,862,746, US 6,820,284, and especially US 5094234, US 5524298 and WO 9721363. The known embodiments have drawbacks in that the manufacturing of the men's pants has become very complicated and the use of the men's pants has become inconvenience in many respects.

The object of the invention is to achieve a simple and practical solution of these problems. This is achieved, according to the invention, in that the arrangement mentioned by way of introduction is characterized in that the upper part of the underwear comprises two partly overlapping side straps extending from the pouch, the upper parts of said straps likewise being partly overlapping and attached to said waistband. The arrangement according to the invention results in a lifting of the scrotum and a lateral fixation, which due to the overlapping action brings about a supporting lifting action at a lateral pressure on the scrotum. The underwear according to the invention can be manufactured separately in an uncomplicated way and can be used separately together with an optional men's pants, gym shorts, etc. It is also possible, if one so desires, to arrange the underwear fixed to one of the above mentioned garments by attaching the upper part of the underwear designed to form a unit to the waistband of said garment and the lower part of said unit to a crotch portion of said garment. The underwear is best manufactured out of fine-meshed, seamless, fully fashioned material,

for best comfort independently of the material used for the manufacture of the men's pants or shorts.

The invention will become more apparent in the following with reference to the attached drawing, which schematically shows, by way of example, an embodiment of the invention. Figure 1 is a view of the underwear as seen from the user's side, Figure 2 is a side view of the underwear shown in Fig.l inside a conventional men's pants shown in longitudinal section, and figure 3 is a side view of the underwear shown in Fig.l having a waistband consisting of the waistband of a conventional men's pants shown in longitudinal section.

Figure 1 discloses the arrangement of an underwear 1 for the male genitals intended for male users, which underwear comprises a part 2 made out of fine-meshed, fully fashioned material and designed to form a pouch for the scrotum. The part 2 designed to form a pouch extends upwards to form two side straps 3,4, which form an opening 5 for the penis between the straps. The upper parts of the side straps 3,4 are located partly overlapping each others and have together a broad edge portion 6, which is attached to an elastic waistband 7.

The underwear 1 is intended for use inside a men's pants 10 provided with an elastic waistband 9, as shown in Fig.2. The scrotum is principally enclosed by the pouch 2 and the penis will be located between the underwear

1 and the front portion of the men's pants 10. Any mutual contact between these details and between these details and the user's body is effectively prevented by the arrangement according to the invention.

The arrangement according to the invention can be combined between different garments, for example conventional men's pants, some kind of simple shorts, and gym shorts, and can be washed separately in dependence on degree of being dirtied.

The underwear may of course be permanently attached to the the above mentioned garments, in which case the waistband of the underwear 1 consists of the waistband 9 of the men's pants 10, and the lower part of the pouch

2 is attached to a crotch portion 11 of the men's pants, as shown in Fig.3.

The invention is of course not restricted to the embodiments here shown and described by way of example, but can be modified in different ways within the scope of the invention defined by the patent claims.
