Provided in the present application are an array substrate and a display panel, which relate to the technical field of display, wherein the array substrate can greatly reduce an illumination leakage current and greatly ameliorate the problem of flickering caused by an illumination leakage current. The array substrate comprises a plurality of sub-pixels arranged in an array; the sub-pixel comprises a light-shielding layer, a semiconductor layer, a gate layer, a source-drain layer and a pixel electrode layer, which are sequentially stacked on a substrate; the semiconductor layer comprises a first contact portion, a first channel portion, a doping portion, a second channel portion and a second contact portion, which are connected in sequence; the gate layer comprises a first gate and a second gate; the source-drain layer comprises a first electrode and a second electrode; and an orthographic projection of the light-shielding layer on the substrate at least covers orthographic projections of the first channel portion, the second channel portion and part of the first contact portion that are on the substrate.
