Abstract:
This arrival direction estimation system (1) is provided with a device to be measured (2) for transmitting a preset designated wave, and a measuring device (3) for estimating the arrival direction of the designated wave. The device to be measured repeatedly transmits the designated wave while switching among multiple frequencies in succession. For each of the frequencies used in transmitting the designated wave, the measuring device extracts arriving wave information, which is information pertaining to the arriving waves, obtained from reception signals at the frequencies, and in accordance with the arriving wave information selects a direct wave, which is a designated wave that arrives directly from the device to be measured, selects the intended frequency, which is a frequency suitable for estimating the arrival direction of the direct wave, and estimates the arrival direction of the direct wave using a reception signal at the intended frequency.
