Abstract:
Provided is an article management system including: a plurality of wireless devices respectively imparted to a plurality of articles; a reading apparatus capable of reading identification information stored in the wireless devices; and a management unit for managing a database in which position information of the plurality of articles is stored. The database further stores article set data in which an article set including N-number of (N is an integer not less than 2) articles among the plurality of articles is defined. In a case where at least M-number of (M is an integer less than N) wireless devices among the wireless devices imparted to the N-number of articles have been detected by the reading apparatus, the management unit updates the position information of the N-number of articles included in the article set in accordance with the article set data.
