Abstract:
The present invention is an article management system which makes it possible to facilitate, and complete in a short time, a search for articles, each having a transmission device attached thereto for wireless communication, and which makes adjustments to reduce the total power consumption. A typical embodiment comprises one or more transmission devices which have the function of a slave in BLE communication, and a mobile terminal which has the function of a master in BLE communication, wherein each transmission device is attached to an article, or a container containing one or more articles, and wherein, after BLE communication has been established with one or more first transmission devices, the mobile terminal obtains specific information about each of the one or more first transmission devices from the content of the BLE communication, then obtains, on the basis of the specific information, information identifying a first article or container to which each first transmission device is attached, and determines that each identified first article or container is located in a predetermined area.
