Abstract:
Provided are an article having a surface treated layer that has excellent weather resistance and abrasion resistance and a method for manufacturing the same, and a surface treatment agent. This article is provided with: an organic base material; a primer layer that is located on the organic base material and that is formed of a primer containing a coupling agent that has an organic reactive group and a hydrolyzable silyl group in the molecule; and a surface treated layer that is located immediately above the primer layer and that is formed of a surface treatment agent containing a fluoropolyether group-containing silane compound. The fluoropolyether group-containing silane compound is represented by formula (α1) or formula (α2) [in the formulae, each symbol is as defined in the description].
