Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an article that is provided with an anti-viral microstructure and can inactivate a virus. Provided is an article 1 provided with an anti-viral microstructure, the article 1 characterized by comprising an article 2 that is an article to be processed and an anti-viral microstructure M formed on the article 2, and also characterized in that the anti-viral microstructure is formed by randomly arranged fine protrusions, in which each of the fine protrusions is tapered down from the base thereof to the tip thereof and has a sharp-pointed tip and therefore has a needle-like or cone-like shape, and the fine protrusions have an average diameter of 10 nm to 400 nm, an average height of 30 nm to 1000 nm and an average pitch of 10 nm to 500 nm.
