Title:
ARTIFACT-FREE SUPERELASTIC ALLOY
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/039298
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention is an artifact-free superelastic alloy which is made of an Au-Cu-Al alloy, is composed of 20 to 40 atomic percent of Cu, 15 to 25 atomic percent of Al, and the balance Au, and has a volume magnetic susceptibility of -24 to 6 ppm. This Ni-free superelastic alloy is an alloy capable of exhibiting superelasticity in a normal temperature range and is such that artifacts are less likely to be generated in a magnetic field environment. This alloy can be produced by carrying out casting for a fixed period of time during a melting and casting process, and hot-pressing the casted alloy and homogenizing the material structure.
