According to known technique, flocked fabric and artificial leather are produced by seperated and different processes and techniques. Scheme of flocked fabric production is depicted in Figure 1. according to known technique whole surface of fabric is plastered with adhesive (acrylic or polyurethan), particularly with chemicals, and adhesive are sticked to whole surface by electrostatic method, dried and thus flocked fabric is obtained. In this process, fabric (1) to be coated by flock is plastered chemicals by passing J-box (2). Then, chemicals are scraped by scraping knife (3) and fabric is directed through flocking unit (4) and dried in owen (5) after patterned or plain flock is coated. Flocked fabric (8) is obtained by passing from fixator (6) and brushing unit (7).
According to known technique, in production of artificial leather coated by PU - PVC (polyurethan - polyvinilchloride), polyurethan and / or polyvinilchloride, solvent or other auxiliarly chemicals are plastered on carrier patterned paper (9) passed through accumulator (10) serving for function of accumulating fabrics in coating machine and thus desired thickness and weight is provided and paper - (9) is dried in owen (9). Chemical - coated carrier paper, which exits drying process, arrives second knife (13) and chemicals are transferred to carrier paper (9) by plastering polyurethan and/or polyvinilchloride, solvent and other auxiliary chemicals with desired thickness and weight by second knife
(13) and it is dried in owen (14). In same manner, chemical - coated carrier paper, which exits drying process, arrives third knife (15) and chemicals are transferred to carrier paper (9) by plastering polyurethan and/or polyvinilchloride, solvent and other auxiliary chemicals with desired thickness and weight by second knife (13). Lastly, fabric is adhered to chemical - coated paper and dried in owen (17). After it exits owen (17), fabric and carrier paper (19) coated by chemicals are seperated from each other in outlet of machine following cooling cylinders (18) and thus artificial leather (20) is obtained.
DISCLOSURE OF INVENTION
In production process of artificial leather coated by patterned flock developed according to the invention, artificial leather (20) produced according to the known technique is used.
Production process of artificial leather coated by patterned flock, which is developed according to invention, is consisted of following steps.
■ Transfer process of rotational pattern which includes transferring color or natural adhesive suitable for pattern in order to transfer pattern to be flocked on artificial leather.
■ Flocking process of artificial leather with patterned adhesive plastered on surface by natura lor color flock in a patterned manner.
■ Drumming process for surface finishing and soft touch. Transfer Process of Rotational Pattern
Artificial leather (20) obtained by polyurethan - polyvinilchloride coating method is passed through sewing machine and J-Box (21) and it is taken into rotational patterned template (22). Rotational patterned template (22) transfers color or natural adhesive on artificial leather in accordance with desired pattern. In this step, desired amount of natural or color adhesive within patterned template (22) is transferred from template to surface of artificial leather by scraper. Following this process, wet and patterned adhesive is present on artificial leather (20). After this process, it is continously led to flocking unit.
Flocking Process
Artificial leather (20) with patterned adhesive transferred on surface by patterned rotational template (22), is taken into flocking unit (23). In this unit (23), colored or natural-colored flock fibers loaded on containers enter into electrostatic field as flock fibers
are poured downward by sieves and brushes. During this period, they are sticked into patterned adhesives on the surface of articial leather coming continously from rotation machine (22) by electric power and thus flocking process is completed. Meanwhile, colored or natural-colored flocks, sticked to fields including patterned adhesives by electrostatic method, is dried within drying owen (24). Folcked artificial leather exiting flocking unit (23) and owen (24) in a patterned manner is taken into fixator (25) and brushing unit (26). As a result, artificial leather (27) coated by patterned flock is obtained.
Artificial leather (27) coated by patterned flock, which is obtained by passing rotation (22) and flocking (23) units, is directed to drumming machine for finishing and softening and thus a product having natural leather curves and patterned - flock embossed view together is obtained.
Color flocks in flocking unit can be similar to or different than color of artificial leather.
Drumming Process In drumming process, flocked artificial leather (27), which exits flocking machine
(23), is primarily passed through bath (siliconated - unsiliconated) (28). Then, excess fluid is removed by passing through compression unit (29). Later, it enters drumming machines (30 and 31) for surface finishing and soft touch. The product, exiting drums, has both natural leather curves and patterned - flock embossed view and thus production is completed.
The product which is developed according to the invention and which has both natural leather curves and patterned - flock embossed view, can be widely used in furniture sector, particularly as upholstery fabric and leather. Moreover, it may provide innovation and richness by using in combination with other flocked fabric and unflocked artificial leathers.
