Abstract:
In order to provide an artificial leather that exhibits a high strength while having the elegant presentation characteristic of artificial leather, there is provided an artificial leather having a polymer elastic body and an entangled fiber mass that contains a nonwoven fabric as a constituent element, wherein: the nonwoven fabric contains an ultrafine fiber A having a monofilament diameter of 1.0-8.0 µm and a fiber B having a monofilament diameter of 10.0-50.0 µm; the fiber B is composed of at least two thermoplastic resins; at least one surface of the artificial leather is a nap-bearing surface; and the proportion of fiber B in a cross section of the artificial leather is 1-20%.
