Abstract:

The disclosed artificial nipple, nursing container using same, and pacifier toy are made so that the nipple end section sufficiently reaches the nursing depression, can be adequately squeezed, and in that state, a nursing action can be reliably performed. The artificial nipple is hollow and roughly conical overall, and has: a base section that can expand to match an object attached to; an areola section that narrows gradually while extending; and a nipple section that does not widen partway before reaching the end, and that, while extending, narrows very gradually at a rate of narrowing that is less than the aforementioned rate of narrowing of the aforementioned areola section. The aforementioned areola section is made so as to be provided with a greater wall thickness than that of the aforementioned nipple section. The aforementioned nipple section is set to have a sufficient length for reaching the nursing depression, and is provided at the boundary between the aforementioned areola section and the aforementioned nipple section with a weak section, which is formed in a band around the perimeter of said location by means of a wall thickness that is thinner than that of the aforementioned areola section and that is thicker than the aforementioned nipple section.
