Abstract:
A method of treating or preventing vascular calcification in a patient by administering L-ascorbic acid or ascorbate or a mixture comprising it to the patient and a pharmaceutical composition containing at least one statin and L-ascorbic acid or ascorbate in a dosage form that allows for the concomitant administering of the at least one statin and L-ascorbic acid or ascorbate to a patient.
