Abstract:
Provided is an assembled battery charging method for charging an assembled battery by using one charger, the assembled battery being configured by connecting in parallel a plurality of series circuits having one or more lead storage batteries connected in series. The assembled battery charging method comprises: a first step (S14) of obtaining a first index value that is an index value having a correlative relationship with and corresponding to the resistance value of a first series circuit having the lowest resistance value among the plurality of series circuits; a second step (S19) of obtaining a second index value that is an index value having a correlative relationship with and corresponding to the resistance value of a second series circuit having the highest resistance value among the plurality of series circuits; a third step (S3 to S16) of performing normal charging in which an assembled battery is charged with a first charging electric quantity suitable for the first index value; and a fourth step (S18 to S21) of performing refreshing charging in which, following the third step, the assembled battery is charged with a second charging electric quantity suitable for the second index value.
