Abstract:
Provided is an assistance device for assisting the improvement of mental aspects of a user by applying a stimulus suitable for the activity state of the brain. An assistance device (1) has: a data acquisition unit (17) for acquiring brain activity data of a user; a stimulus imparting unit (18) for applying electromagnetic stimuli corresponding to the brain activity data to the head of the user; and a brain wave storage unit (15) for storing changes in the brain activity data. The assistance device (1) is configured such that, when acquiring the brain activity data, an electromagnetic stimulus which changes prescribed parameters in the brain activity data is imparted, in particular an electromagnetic stimulus with which the intensity of alpha waves tends to increase.
