Abstract:
This assistance system is provided with: an imaging device which images a target; a setting unit which sets the movement range of the imaging device; a robot which moves the imaging device sequentially to multiple measurement positions within the movement range; a measurement unit which, for each of the measurement positions, measures the position and orientation of the target using captured images obtained by imaging by the imaging device; an evaluation unit which evaluates the measurement results from the measurement unit; and a presenting unit which presents a map indicating the correspondence relation between each of the multiple measurement positions and the evaluation results of the evaluation unit. Such an assistance system can assist with the setting of conditions when measuring the position and orientation of the target, taking into account the orientations that can be adopted by the target.
