Abstract:
This assisting device (1) is provided with: a base (2); a lifting member (31) which is supported on the base so as to be capable of moving vertically; a swinging arm member (41) which is swingably supported at one end (411) by the lifting member; a holding member (5) which is supported at the other end (412) of the swinging arm member and which holds the upper body of a care recipient (M); a lifting cover (33) which covers one end of the lifting member and the swinging arm member, has an opening (36) through which the swinging arm member passes, and rises and lowers together with the lifting member; and a closing member (a seat member 7) which closes the gap between the peripheral edge of the opening and the swinging arm member. Thus, because the opening is closed by the closing member, the care recipient's body, clothing, etc., are not caught in the opening, making the assisting device safer.
