Abstract:

This atomic absorption spectrophotometer (10) comprises: a furnace (2) that heats a sample; a heating power supply (4) that includes a transformer (4a) for converting a voltage applied to the furnace (2) and supplies a current to the furnace (2); a measurement unit (3) that measures the absorbance of the sample heated in the furnace (2); and a control unit (7) that controls the heating power supply (4) and the measurement unit (3). The control unit (7) can set a temperature program of the furnace (2) according to the sample to be measured, predicts an end-point temperature of the transformer (4a) during continuous measurement from information of the set temperature program, and prompts a user to change the temperature program when the predicted end-point temperature reaches a predetermined temperature.
