Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for audio clock adjustment in a network-based public address (PA). The disclosed method comprises the steps of: buffering digital audio data in an audio buffer for later fetching; on the basis of an occupancy level indicating an amount of digital audio data currently remaining within the audio buffer, setting a clock divisor to one of a plurality of integers that are greater than 1 and have been determined for a given sample rate of the digital audio data, and generating, from a finite state machine (FSM) clock signal having an FSM clock frequency, an audio clock signal having the same clock rate as dividing the FSM clock frequency by the clock divisor; and fetching the digital audio data from the audio buffer, and providing the digital audio data according to the audio clock signal.
