Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention is an audio output control method. The method comprises: when an electronic device receives an application switching instruction, acquiring a to-be-switched multimedia application corresponding to the switching instruction; acquiring a switching duration between the to-be-switched multimedia application and the current multimedia application; adjusting an audio output state of an audio power amplifier of the electronic device to be a mute state, the duration of the mute state being the switching duration; and when the mute state ends, recovering the audio output state of the audio power amplifier. Also disclosed in the present invention is an audio output control device. In the present invention, the audio output of an audio power amplifier of a television is adjusted to be mute output during a multimedia application switching process; the phenomena of outputting audio information of an current multimedia application and even hearing, by a user, harsh sound, and the like are avoided, in the multimedia application switching process, are avoided, thereby avoiding audio output anomalies during the switching between multimedia applications, such as noises of a current multimedia application.
