Abstract:
Provided are an augmented reality device for obtaining depth value information of an object located in a region of interest, and an operating method thereof. An augmented reality device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may: on the basis of at least one of the moving speed, acceleration, fixation time, fixation number of times, and position of a point of interest obtained through a gaze tracking sensor, calculate a region of interest (ROI) confidence level indicating a degree by which at least one partial region within the entire region of the real world is predicted as an ROI; determine the ROI on the basis of the calculated ROI confidence level; and configure a parameter for controlling the operation of a depth sensor in order to obtain depth value information of an object in the ROI.
