Abstract:
Provided are an augmented reality device which recognizes an object using an artificial intelligence model of an external device, and an operation method therefor. An augmented reality device, according to one embodiment of the present disclosure may: transmit an image and sensor data to a mobile device; receive, from the mobile device, information on the direction and type of the object and an object detection area obtained from the image according to a result of object recognition performed using a first artificial intelligence model included in the mobile device; adjust the location of the object detection area on the basis of a value of the sensor data changed at the time of receiving the result of object recognition from the mobile device; determine a second artificial intelligence model for recognizing the object on the basis of the direction and type of the object included in the object detection area; and recognize the object from the object detection area using the determined second artificial intelligence model.
