Abstract:
An augmented reality head-up display (AR-HUD) apparatus, which comprises an image unit (1), an optical waveguide unit (2) and a reflection unit (3), wherein the image unit (1) is used for generating image light rays and guiding the image light rays to be emitted to the surface of the optical waveguide unit (2); the optical waveguide unit (2) transmits the image light rays and emits same towards the reflection unit (3); the reflection unit (3) reflects the image light rays to human eyes so as to generate a virtual image; the optical waveguide unit (2) comprises at least one layer of optical waveguide (21); the optical waveguide (21) comprises at least two optical waveguide portions (25, 26) that are optically connected; and there is an included angle between planes where the surfaces of two adjacent optical waveguide portions (25, 26) are located. Compared with a planar AR-HUD, the augmented reality head-up display apparatus has a smaller surface area, a more rational spatial distribution and greater factory-installation tolerance, has the performance of a large field of view, a small volume and a long virtual image distance, has a simple structure, is suitable for most windshields, and has a high universality in terms of mass production.
