Abstract:
Disclosed are an austenite-based stainless steel with excellent electric conductivity and a manufacturing method therefor, wherein the austenite-based stainless steel is capable of ensuring an excellent conductive surface layer through the removal of a non-conductive film formed on a surface of stainless steel and the formation of a new conductive film thereon. An austenite-based stainless steel with excellent electric conductivity according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a stainless base material containing, in wt%, 0.1% or less C, 0.1-1.0% Si, 0.1-2.0% Mn, 15-24% Cr, 6-12% Ni, 2.5% or less Mo, 0.3% or less N, 0.003% or less S, and the balance Fe and inevitable impurities; and a passivation film formed on the stainless base material, wherein the passivation film has a thickness of greater than 0 nm and no greater than 4 nm and the Ni/Fe atomic weight ratio in a thickness region of 2 nm or less from a surface of the passivation film is 0.1 or higher.
