Abstract:

A safe, quick authenticating method using a portable phone. When a portable terminal (30) sends a request for authentication to an authentication server (10), the authentication server (10) transmits an inquiry symbol for authentication to the portable terminal (30). The portable terminal (30) sends the inquiry symbol to the authentication server (10) through a sale managing server (23) including a reader (21) to request authentication. The authentication server (10) checks the inquiry symbol with a previously generated inquiry symbol and sends the result of the check and personal data required by the sale managing server (23) to the sale managing server (23).
