Abstract:

This authentication device comprises: an acquisition unit that acquires biometric information from a prescribed site of a person to be authenticated; a first authentication unit that executes a first authentication process on the basis of the biometric information acquired by the acquisition unit; a sound wave transmission unit that transmits a haptic signal that uses sound waves to the prescribed site of the person to be authenticated; a second authentication unit that executes a second authentication process on the basis of input information based on an operation of the person to be authenticated, and information corresponding to the haptic signal; and a determination unit that authenticates the person to be authenticated on the basis of an authentication result of the first authentication process and an authentication result of the second authentication process.
