Abstract:
This authentication device includes: an acquisition unit that acquires at least first biometric information of an authentication target used for first biometric authentication and first surrounding environment information at the time of acquisition of the first biometric information; a score calculation unit that calculates a score of the first biometric authentication using the first biometric information; a reliability determination unit that determines reliability of the first biometric information from the first surrounding environment information; and a continuous processing determination unit that, on the basis of the score of the first biometric authentication and the reliability of the first biometric information, determines whether or not to execute second biometric authentication using second biometric information different from the first biometric information.
