Abstract:
Provided is an authentication method, which is executed by a computer, comprising: determining, when biometric information is acquired by a sensor installed in a gate, whether or not a first captured image, which is obtained by capturing an image of a person who tries to pass through the gate with a camera installed such that the face of the person is included within the capture range, includes a face image that satisfies a first criterion; performing, when a face image that satisfies the first criterion is included, authentication using the face image included in the first captured image and the biometric information; and instructing the camera to capture an image when a face image that satisfies the first criterion is not included, and performing, after the camera has additionally captured a second captured image, authentication using a face image included in the second captured image and the biometric information.
