Abstract:
[Problem] Although SAS-2, allegedly the fastest authentication scheme wherein a unidirectional conversion function is applied three times at a device to be authenticated and a unidirectional conversion function is applied once at an authentication device, has been available, with this authentication scheme, because one-time password authentication processing was not sufficiently fast, and the processing load was hardly said to be sufficiently small, addition of a security function to wider technological domains of IoT and the like was difficult to achieve. [Solution] An authentication system provided with a device to be authenticated and an authentication device serving as a device for authenticating the device to be authenticated, for which a secure one-time password authentication processing scheme with an improved processing speed is achieved by use of an algorithm for reducing the number of executions of unidirectional conversion functions such that addition of a security function to wider technological domains of IoT, such as sensor and IC tag, can be achieved.
