Abstract:
An authentication system of a high security property wherein even when a person, who attempts to conduct an illegal behavior, performs modification or the like of an authentication apparatus, a system of a retail store or the like, such an illegal behavior cannot be easily conducted. The authentication system comprises an authentication apparatus that includes an authentication part for authenticating whether a user is a person who has already registered, and also includes an information output part for outputting identification information of the user if the user is authenticated as the registered person. The authentication system further comprises a server apparatus that includes an information entering part for entering user identification information, also includes a credibility deciding part for deciding, based on the identification information, the credibility of the user, and further includes a decision result output part for outputting a decision result of the credibility deciding part.
