Abstract:
The present invention relates to an auto tool changer of a machine tool and a control method for the auto tool changer, wherein, when a tool change command is generated, the rotation speed of a dog portion is changed in multiple stages according to the number of sequential numbers of tool ports to be changed and the counted number of revolutions of the dog portion, so that, despite using a gear motor, tool change can be automatically conducted without stopping during movement of one port of the tool ports.
