Abstract:
The present invention achieves an automated analyzer that makes it possible to set a measurement item and remaining reagent threshold, avoid situations in which a determination is made that there is remaining reagent even when there is no remaining reagent, and avoid poor reagent dispensing. A reagent is dispensed, and a storage unit is used to check whether a dead volume has been set (steps 501-503). If no dead volume has been set, a liquid surface sensor or soft count is used to determine whether the amount of a reagent in a reagent bottle is greater than or equal to a default dead volume value and if the amount of the reagent is greater than or equal to the default value, the next sample is measured, while if the amount of the reagent is less than the default value, the use of the reagent bottle is ended, the reagent bottle is replaced, and measurement is continued (steps 505, 508). If a dead volume has been set, whether the amount of remaining reagent in the reagent bottle is greater than or equal to the set amount is determined, and if the amount of reagent is greater than or equal to the set amount, the next sample is measured, while if the amount of the reagent remaining in the reagent bottle is less than the set amount, the use of the reagent bottle is ended, the reagent bottle is replaced with the next reagent bottle, and measurement is continued (steps 504, 506, 507).
