Title:
AUTOMATED EQUIPMENT FOR THE TEMPORARY STORAGE OF VEHICLES
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2010/081209
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The invention relates to an automated, electro-mechanical equipment for maximising the temporary vehicle storage density in a modular, multi-storey metallic structure which can be disassembled. The metallic structure (1) of the equipment consists of pillars (11) that define the height of the floor levels, with longitudinal beams (12) and crossbeams (13) which define the spacing of the storage boxes (2). In order to increase the rigidity of the metallic structure (1), vertical bracing stays (14) and horizontal bracing stays (15) are used. The storage places (2) are arranged transversely in a floor level, forming two columns separated by a central free column (3) in which the automated carriage circulates. The transfer cab (4), as well as the turntable (5) and the elevators (6), are located on the ground floor, at the end of the access track (7). A platform (8) on which the driver parks the vehicle is located on the turntable (5). After the driver exits the vehicle and leaves the transfer cab, the turntable (5) turns until it is aligned with the elevators (8). All storage places (2), as well as the turntable (5) and the elevators (6), contain a platform (8). The platforms (8) are symmetrical and have recessed tracks (81) for receiving the vehicle tyres, as well as support shoes (82) for placing the vehicle tyres on the cross rails (13) of the storage places in the metallic structure (1) or elevators. The automated carriage comprises a bridge crane (9) and a sliding table (10). The bridge crane (9) moves independently and longitudinally on the longitudinal beams (12) of the metallic structure (1) of a floor level, and is arranged in the central column (3) of the metallic structure (1). The sliding table (10), which places the platform (8) inside the storage place (2) or the elevator, and removes the platform (8) from the storage place (2) or the elevator, moves transversely in both directions in the upper portion of the bridge crane (9). A mechanism for raising the platform (20), which is formed by jacks (201) that are each actuated by a shaft (202) rotated by the motor (203), is arranged in the table (10) and is depicted in figure 10. The jack piston (204) comprises a support shoe (205) that engages the support shoe (82) of the platform (8).
