Abstract:
An automatic analysis device 100 equipped with a water supply tank 53 for temporarily storing water which is consumed by each mechanism of the automatic analysis device 100 and is supplied from outside the device, an optical sensor 52 which has a light source 302 and a light-receiving unit 301 for receiving light emitted by the light source 302 and detects the amount of water inside the water supply tank 53, and a controller 24 for controlling the operation of each mechanism inside the automatic analysis device 100, wherein the water supply tank 53 is positioned between the light source 302 and the light-receiving unit 301, and the controller 24 determines whether there is an abnormality in the optical sensor 52 according to the output voltage outputted by the light-receiving unit 301 when temporarily reducing the water in the water supply tank 53, or determines whether or not the interior of the water supply tank 53 is unclean. As a result, the provided automatic analysis device is capable of reducing maintenance frequency by encouraging water supply tank cleaning and sensor exchange at the optimal timing.
