Abstract:
An automatic bar counting method and apparatus, relating to the technical field of bar counting. The method comprises: first acquiring a bar end face image, and selecting a region to be recognized of the bar end face image (S11); preprocessing the region to be recognized to extract all end face contours from the region to be recognized (S12); then, dividing all the end face contours into independent end face contours and adhered end face contours according to area, and taking the adhered end face contours as end face contours to be segmented (S13); next, acquiring the outer contour of each of the end face contours to be segmented and a bar diameter (S14); drawing the segmentation lines according to the outer contour of the end face contour to be segmented and the bar diameter (S15); segmenting the end face contour to be segmented into a plurality of sub-end face contours according to the outer contour and the segmentation lines (S16); finally, processing the sub-end face contours according to a circle approximation algorithm, so as to acquire rounded sub-end face contours (S17); and according to the rounded sub-end face contours and the independent end face contours, counting bars corresponding to the bar end face image (S18). In the method, adhered bar end faces are segmented before counting, and the contour of an end face of each bar is accurately recognized, thereby effectively improving the counting precision.
