An automatic bending machine for reinforcing steel bar with synchronous belt transmission mechanism is disclosed which includes a dragging mechanism, a straightening mechanism, a bending mechanism and a cutting mechanism. A synchronous belt transmission mechanism (20) is connected with an input part of a dragging input shaft (6) in the dragging mechanism or an input part of an input shaft in the bending mechanism. The synchronous belt transmission mechanism (20) includes servo-motors (2a, 2b), driving pulleys (21a, 21b), driven pulleys (22a, 22b) and synchronous belts (23a, 23b). The driving pulleys (21a, 21b) are provided on the output shafts of  the servo-motors (2a, 2b), and the driven pulleys (22a, 22b) are mounted on the input part of the dragging input shaft (6) or the input part of the input shaft in the bending mechanism. The synchronous belts (23a, 23b) connect the driving pulleys (21a, 21b) with the driven pulleys (22a, 22b). The precise transmission speed and position can be achieved for the automatic bending machine for reinforcing steel bar, and the machine has light weight, small size, low rotary inertia, resulting in that the cost and noise are effectively reduced and the machine is convenient to maintain.
