Abstract:
An automatic collision avoidance method for adjacent wells comprises the following steps: acquiring trajectory design information of a well under drilling (1) and drilled trajectory information of an adjacent existing well (2); establishing, by reference to a wellhead position of the well under drilling (1), a wellhead coordinate system of the well under drilling, and acquiring a wellhead coordinate of the adjacent existing well (2); acquiring information on well sections of the well under drilling (1) and the adjacent existing well (2) requiring collision protection; lowering a measurement-while-drilling probe (4) together with a drill bit (3) to the bottom of the well under drilling (1), and when an drilling operation reaches the well section requiring collision protection, acquiring data measured by the measurement-while-drilling probe (4); acquiring relative spatial position data of the measurement-while-drilling probe (4) and a casing of the adjacent existing well (2); and determining, according to the relative spatial position data of the probe (4) and the casing of the adjacent existing well (2) and relative position data of the probe (4) and the drill bit (3), relative spatial positions of the well under drilling (1) and the adjacent existing well (2), and performing subsequent deviation control on a borehole trajectory. The method can determine relative spatial positions of the well under drilling (1) and the adjacent existing well (2), thereby providing collision avoidance information for directional well drilling operations.
