Abstract:
An automatic door system (1) comprises a first sliding door (11) and a second sliding door (12), one detector (20) that detects an object, and a door opening/closing control unit (35) that controls the opening and closing of the first sliding door (11) and the second sliding door (12) on the basis of the detection result from the first detector (20). The detector (20) includes one or more transmission elements (22) that transmit transmission electromagnetic waves of the FMCW type, and two or more reception elements (23) that receive reflected electromagnetic waves reflected by the object. Detection areas include areas near two door pockets of an automatic door (10), in addition to an area through which a person or a thing passes to pass through the automatic door (10).
