Title:
AUTOMATIC FARE COLLECTION SYSTEM FOR RAILWAY TRAIN HAVING LENGTH EXCEEDING THAT OF PLATFORM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2015/131659
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
An automatic fare collection system for a railway train having a length exceeding that of a platform, said system comprising a four-layer layout: a central layer composed of a route central computer; a train station layer composed of a train station computer system; a terminal layer consisting of a train station terminal device; and, a train ticket layer. On the basis of the position at a train station platform at which a railway train having a length exceeding that of said platform stops, the carriages of a railway train configuration are divided into a plurality of ride sections, and ride section markings are indicated on a train ticket. By installing a read-write device and coupling train tickets with said device, the present invention provides a ticket vending, automatic verification and collection system that implements ticketing based on section-based passenger riding, thereby changing the current haphazard riding into section-based ticketing and riding. The invention increases the capacity-expansion capabilities of the fare collection system for trains having a length exceeding that of a platform.
